Summary of Event: First Orientation of the Colorado Energy Plan. A national geographic film on detrimental impacts of coal-fired power plants. A documentary that goes beyond the rhetoric of the “war on coal.” Presented by National Geographic TV the film takes a compelling and often heartbreaking look at what’s at stake for our economy, health, and climate.

Summary of Event:
Come express your concerns about Xcel’s 2017 Renewable Energy Plan. This is a public input session. They propose a three-year road-map to continue providing the clean energy options while ensuring ongoing compliance with Colorado’s standard.
“We all share the goal of satisfying Colorado’s growing energy demands in the most reliable, clean and affordable way possible. Today, about 22 percent of Colorado’s energy supply comes from renewable sources—and we remain on track to surpass the state’s 30 percent renewable energy standard by 2020.”
